Hi Searle, don't blame that poor woman for wearing out her rings!Every woman will do that if she wears 2 gold rings side by side. Its a law of physics.2 items made of the same material, when rubbed against each other will wear out a lot faster. That's why you find a steel axle running in a bronze bearing, even though bronze is a lot softer then steel.I have repaired a lot of these rings. As long as women insist on wearing 2 rings side by side that will happen.Preventing the rubbing by welding or clamping the rings together would prevent a good part of that wear and prolong the live of the rings, but how do you tell a female customer that without offending her? Some take that advise, but just as many don't.
