I heard that LindyBill isup 40% ytd, and that was before today!

My move this morning from 55% MSFT to 40% QCOM helped to give me an incredible 6.5% for the day! (QCOM was up 11 7/8's). AOL made me a few bucks also, to say the least! That makes me over 47% up for the year. I still have about 15% MSFT 18% AOL and the rest in CSCO.

I am sure that many others have done much better, especially those riding the "dot.coms", but I am very happy with my return. I wanted a double this year, and with a 40% QCOM weighting, I think I will make it.

On QCOM, as Al Jolson used to say, "you ain't seem nothing yet, folks!"

I grew up in San Diego, Qualcomm's headquarters, and I can tell you it is "party time" in that town tonight!

The only fly in the ointment down there are the people who are in the division who got sold to Ericson. They are setting there, working on Qualcomm products, watching their friends in the same complex who are still with Qualcomm profit from this stock move, and making nothing off of it because they have lost their future stock options. Talk about pissed! These people are going postal!

Well, I know I will get kicked in the butt sometime later this year when we have a downturn, but this is the greatest one day return I have ever had, made even sweeter because I "pulled the trigger" and bought that big a position in QCOM. Even though I knew it was the right thing to do, it was still a tough decision this morning.

I will be dancing up a storm tonight, I can tell you that!
