I assure you that I was here a year ago, but I didn't post about Iridium or Globalstar. I was content to do nothing with Globalstar and short the hell out of Iridium while it hovered in the 50's and 60's on the hype. The borrow on the stock was quickly locked up by one major player who shall remain nameless, but continues to short any stock that comes up for borrow. I sold a lot of my puts and must admit the price drop and poor launch even caught me by surprise. If you believe that Iridium will escape 1999 without a major restructuring that will all but wipe out the equity, then I suggest you have made to large and emotional commitment to this company and its story. I have made an investment in personal research of the business plan, the complicated financial structure and the technology of the system. I have found fatal flaws in all three and I became convinced of it roughly 10 months ago. I feel bad for those who have lost money in this stock, but I truely believe that Globalstar will be a winner over the next 18 months. My assertion and what I seek to find out is if others share the opinion that the demise of Iridium (financialy) will pull Globalstar to or below $10. There is too much money being made in other stocks to sit in a stock that is headed lower or is dead money for another 2 to 4 months. Thank you though for your psych therapy post, but I am quite sure my position is based on more than emotions. I will be here in a year. My prediction is that Globalstar stock will be trading much higher and Irdium will be ? There will be more pain before we get there.
