I talked to Ewert Wilson tonight. Last time I talked to Ewert was when Dan had left Midland.
Here's a summary of our conversation:
1. He was given a stake in CNH Holding. I won't tell you the # of shares, but he's finally got a financial stake in the additive's success.
2. The business deals he's had in the past have led no where, or even worse (I guess all Midland share holders feel that way too, eh?).
3. People are skeptical about the additive, so he continues to have independent tests done.
4. Plants are producing 150 octane. A refinery should be able to refine the octane additive to 200+ octane.
5. He's reached 227 octane in 1 non-repeatable test. He doesn't know of any theoretical limit to the octane additive. Some of the chemical stream appears to have 400+ octane in it.
6. The additive can be mixed with MTBE to produce 144 octane.
7. .5 Gallon of additive mixed in a 20 gallon tank = GREAT!
8. 1 Gallon of additive mixed in a 20 gallon tank = WATCH OUT!
9. Pure 150+ Octane in a normal car's gas tank = BLOWN ENGINE!
10. .5 Gallon of additive mixed in a 20 gallon tank reduces emissions by 1000% (10x)
11. After running with additive, taking apart the engine shows no/little engine deposits. The ethanol cleans injectors, etc. Internal engine parts look almost brand new.
12. Drag racers are using his additive. Winning races too.
13. CNH is scheduled to roll out a new plant every xx months (schedule is probably a secret, so I wont post it). Fairly aggressive roll-out schedule.
14. He said that if the additive can get the interest of one of the major oil companies, CNHH will be worth $40/share. Personally, I think it'll be higher.
15. He said the additive is far and away the best octane additive on the market. With MTBE being banned, it's perfect timing.
STORY #1: He took an old truck, filled it with 150 octane additive. Wheels were still squealing all the way up to 80 mph.
STORY #2: (Some of you have heard this before) A friend took a old truck to the gas station, and failed the emissions test. Added octane additive, passed. Emissions went from 240 to 40. Emissions station wanted to know what he'd done. He told them he'd gotten a "tune up".
STORY #3: People are adding 5% additive to their normal gas. Customers keep coming back. "Best additive I've ever seen".
