Z man, PICK's technology is unique in that it is a non-proprietary solution that results in lower buy-in costs to the ISPs who deploy the technology. Many other vendors who offer streaming solutions have proprietary solutions that are more costly. Multicasting technology itself is not unique to PICK, although I believe they have a head start on using this technology for streaming media. BCST, for example, still unicasts their content. I'm sure anyone who is serious about this market will move to multicasting, and I understand BCST is working on a multicast solution. The best part is now that BCST has been purchased by YHOO, any portal that is serious about competing with YHOO (AOL, Excite/@Home, Lycos) will need a good partner to provide audio and video over the net. I think PICK fits in nicely here. Doug.
