Actually, what I like to do is when it rises by about 40%, sell enough to cover my whole cost. I haven't done this lately because it seems a great way of guaranteeing yourself sub-par results. Lately I just whine about being to greedy and not being willing to sell. The thing that is hard for me to shake is the long term investor mentality. I tend to buy and hold for years. There have been many times I could have made more money by trading a range. Thnaks for the great advice. Peter PS - I own so little CMNT I find the prospect of loss un-intimidating.
