D. Long, who writes:

>>Although I disagree with you on the two camps point. There is a third camp. This third
camp consists of hand-wringing, teary eyed individuals who like to make the impression
that they are the most compassionate person in any group, and therefor chase every
"humanitarian crisis" they are exposed to, all the while not willing to do a damn thing
about it. They cry and moan both about military action and inaction, and after they are
done posting they drive home in their SUV and watch CNN on their $2000 TV. Then
they lay their heads down comfortable in the fact that they dont have to worry, theyre
safe. Hypocrites.<<

Who the hell do you think you are to know so much about people whose interests lie in the humanitarian needs of the refugees? We have a poster here who came to this message board in search of info as she begins to try to get together enough money to fly to Skopje with medicine samples we think we can collect from clinics (I did this for Central America, and it's doable). This person does not currently have the fare for such a plane ticket, much less the cost of being there. But she's trying to dig it up. She doesn't drive home in her SUV but, rather, in a quite old simple car. She doesn't watch CNN on her 2000-dollar TV. She has a simple little under-$200 TV.

But yes, she drops her change into the cans for local pet shelters. And she writes letters to editors on needs people have. Mostly, she cares. Now she thinks she might be able to gather the funds to make this trip, for which she is criticized for being such a hypocrite.

And YOU, who have presented no case for ever having had a humanitarian thought in your life, have the gall to say, as if you know her, that she "lays <sic> her head down comfortable in the fact that she doesn't have to worry, she's safe." "all the while not willing to do a damn thing about it." No, you pompous, cold fool, that description of RoseRose is an utter lie that you have no right whatsoever to push. She is a young woman who has never even been able to travel outside this country. She has a family. And a conscience. And she IS willing to do something about it. She is willing to travel dangerously to a place where she can bring what little aid she can collect and donate her time to caring for the children of refugee mothers who need rest.

I am so proud of her that the positivism of such feelings even washes away my utter disgust of people like you, so self-righteous that you think you have a right to post a deceptive description of the person in question. You, sir, are a fool, a cold fool, and I pity you. I, on the other hand am a very, very proud mother.
