READ-RITE RESCHEDULES EARNINGS ANNOUNCEMENT TO APRIL 26, 1999; REPORTS REVENUES IN-LINE WITH ANNOUNCEMENT AT $206 MILLION
MILPITAS, CA - April 5, 1999 -- Read-Rite Corporation (Nasdaq: RDRT) today announced that its revenues for the second fiscal quarter were $206 million. This is down from $230.2 million in the December quarter and is consistent with the company's announcement on March 23, 1999. The second fiscal quarter release is being rescheduled to Monday, April 26, 1999, after the close of the market, at which time company management will conduct a conference call and will have further comments at that time.
