Hey, Mike, are we having fun or what? I remember kicking QCOM around briefly with you on the Motley Fool thread on Gorillas last spring. This is really going to be an interesting ride!

I think that there are enough people in the "Institutions" who understand what you are posting, and I believe, to run this stock to 300 this year.

We will probably get a "bump" when the Chinese, as I am sure they will, announce something that looks anti-Qualcomm later this year. They have centuries of experience in playing off the "Foreign Devils" against each other. Selling to China hasn't changed much since the "Opium War" days.

The Europeans are not going to lie down; either, although the Ericson connection should provide the "support chain" that a Gorilla always gets from its partners.

The Digital movie projection business is a sidebar, but fascinating! Can you imagine opening a "Star War's X" in 10,000 theaters worldwide at once? Your marketing cost for the movie goes to "zilch", compared to today, when you divide it up among that many theaters in one week. And no film cost! I think the patents, the high cost of switching, and the lead they have, makes this a baby "gorilla" business within the company.

Now, if they will just sell the phone business to Nokia, the margins should blossom.

It's really funny to realize that the original business of Qualcomm was to provide real time digital communication, via satellite,to the trucking industry. They mount receivers on the tops of the trucks with computers in the cabs, and provide instant control of the truck fleet to the company headquarters. This business provided the cash flow to develop CDMA, and is still a growing, major, division.
