The News release by CNHH was misleading at best IMHO......

CNH Holdings Announces Acquisition of Exclusive License to Patent and Rights to Purchase Mobile Refining Units
KILGORE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 1999--CNH Holdings Co., Inc. (OTC BB:CNHH) announces the acquisition of an exclusive license to patent and rights to purchase mobile refining units.

The agreement with Refining Consultants, Inc. of Albany, Ky., gives CNH Holdings exclusive license to patent relating to the refining of an MTBE alternative Octane Enhancer. The agreement is pending the verification of certain claims and representations made by Refining Consultants, Inc. by May 18, 1999. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The title of the news release states the Acquisition of an exclusive license to patent and rights to purchase mobile refining units.

But in the body of the text it states the following;

The agreement is pending the verification of certain claims and representations made by Refining Consultants, Inc. by May 18, 1999.

So how can CNH Holdings Announce an Acquisition when in fact its pending verification of certain claims. Letter of intent towards an agreement or Acquisition would have been a better option in the heading of the News release as well as the body of the text IMO.... Legally IMO the press release is wrongly worded...
