Colin, as a 'end of day' trader, I have about 225 trades to report for my 1998 return. Just wanted to reduce the paper in my filing cabinet so I tossed the confirmations. If I decided to 'scan' and save them in my computer and later on find the need to print them out. In your opinion, will that satisfy an audit or will I need the original copy? Your thread information is very helpful and thanks for responding. Jim
