Quest Net Signs Contract With e.spire Communications Inc. to Purchase PRI's

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1999--Quest Net Corp. (OTC BB:QNET - news) has completed a three year contract with e.spire Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:ESPI - news), an integrated communications provider (ICP), to purchase PRI's in the southeast region of the United States. This will add additional capacity to the substantial bandwidth that Quest Net Corp. already has.

e.spire joined the top Tier 1 Internet companies by completing initiatives that enhance customers' access to business Internet solutions and provide expanded national network coverage. The company implemented major private network interconnections with Sprint (NYSE:FON - news), UUnet (Nasdaq:WCOM - news) and Exodus (Nasdaq:EXDS - news), three of the largest providers of Internet backbone network services, and unveiled major network enhancements that expand the e.spire Internet backbones bandwidth, coverage and redundancy. e.spire's new private peering agreements augment its existing public peering arrangements. It currently peers with over 35 Internet Service Providers at MAE-East, MAE-West, the Ameritech NAP and the Sprint NAP. Over the last three years, e.spire has raised approximately $800 million in capital to fuel its growth and development of new business offerings.
