mike...your aunt and niece...points to ponder..response invited!!

you've stated something very important....your niece buys everything from a catalogue....and what is the internet, nothing more than an electronic catalogue....i've posed this question to chuzz and others of a more analytical mind to compare "e-tailing" not with the bricks and mortar that your sister uses to shop, but with the long established and in recent times faltering mail order entities from sears to spiegels and montgomery wards to the lilian vernons and the damarks... what is the difference, other than presentation format from internet "e-tailing" to "mail order" catalogues?????>....

why the "percieved" infinite markets that the web reaches...do they reach further than the us postal service..bulk mailings much cheaper than servers for the merchant....
remember...everyone gets mail, and everyone has access to a telephone.......so why will the computer, isp's, portals, web sites....change significantly the way the world shops????

my belief is the web is a huge tool for business to business e-commerce....and mostly entertainment for "joe six pack"...

conclusion....bodes better for dell....
