U.S. HEADLINE STOCKS - Issues to watch April 6
NEW YORK, April 6 (Reuters) - Stocks to watch Tuesday:

-- All eyes will be on the tech sector. International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM - news) said it had introduced the world's fastest 64-bit, four-way Web server, designed to provide e-business customers and Internet service providers with unparalleled speed, performance and high availability. IBM shares closed at 183-15/16 Monday.

-- MCI WorldCom (Nasdaq:WCOM - news) is holding preliminary talks about buying Nextel Communications (Nasdaq:NXTL - news), the Wall Street Journal reported. Shares in MCI WorldCom rose 1/2 to 93 in London before the U.S. open, while Nextel was indicated 4 higher at 43-5/8, dealers said.
