Giga: These guys out of Copenhagen de facto own the STM-16 market in Europe and have been quite successful in Japan. Really the uppermost end of fiber PHYs incl. OC-192 - and it works! In the STM-1 they have the same problems as everybody else incl. AMCC, PMCS and Vitesse: They don't meet the Return Loss on transmit spec. Seems to be easier to do the somewhat higher speeds! Pretty smart management, by the way. And as always with the small nations of Europe, a very international attitude! The Olicom of the GaAs business to come??
