In the April 2 issue, The Investment Reporter chooses SNC-Lavalin ($11.90) as one of April's best buys for growth. According to the Reporter, SNC-Lavalin is an engineering firm that should profit with stronger global economic growth. In the Jan. 1, 1999, issue, the Reporter recommended buying SNC at $11.50, stating that the company was a takeover candidate with a lot of appeal.
