Charles, let go of the "has to be the best" mentality that Wintel has gotten us all into! :-) The point with the NC's is that they are going to be cheap and able to do tasks that have no need for the biggest and best. I do not know what these new cards need to run on old machines. But, the monitor is, in my mind, not an issue. (Actually, Compaq is now trying to sell PC's w/o monitors -- I'm not sure how that will go!) Again, I'm not sure what the details are here, although I'm going to head over to Sun's site for better info. I'm just very happy that Sun is going at this war on many fronts. The war, of course, being that PC's are just too expensive for what they are needed for by many (most?) of those using them. I'll keep the board updated.
