Mystery of mysteries. Why has no major taken up the Oro Grande? The Fischer report done for Inco some years ago is a fairly detailed evaluation of the Oro Grande and very positive about strong values in the pgms and gold. But Inco paid no attention.---For two reasons: Inco was in disaaray at the time as an organization. More important, big mining companies do not pay much attention to what they see as small deposits. While the Oro Grande property contains huge quantities of very high grade minerals it is not the kind of property which lends itself to the massive earth moving operation which big mining companies look for. There are nine mines on the Oro Grande property. They are all old fashioned lode mines, the kind the grizzled prospector carves out underground. This is not the stuff for big mining companies. But there is enough material there to make GPGI a player in the pgm markets of the world without the benefit of the Weaver Creek and the Hassy.

Also, as I read the McKay reports, all ore presently being processed is screened head ore. Some is pretreated, some not pretreated and some partially pretreated. Is this so complicated?
