Excellent Maya. Two things to note. JVC and Sony recently announced an agreement to work on a IEEE 1394 interconnect standard. techweb.com There was a Cube article last yeat re:codec and the Cube engineering(?) manager said a Codec with IEEE 1394 would be next. (I haven't found the article again but it was posted here)
