BDLS - Boundless Corp. "Thin-client" servers. . .terminals sold to schools and corporations. . .works like PC, accesses internet, cheaper and more easily upgraded, since it uses the power of a mainframe from the desktop.

Company filed for extension on filing 10k the end of March, so we are still waiting for that. It is an interesting company, however they just recently announced a 5 million dollar line of credit that was granted them. That and a late filing could be a pre-cursor to bad news. Then again, they may want whatever bad news out of the way to make room for good.

Not sure what to think about this company. Some days I like them, some days I don't. Today there seems to be some upward momentum that may continue, putting this in play. I took a nibble out of it, the way people buy a lottery ticket.

What I don't like is this Morgan Kent Group, Inc. that owns 1.8 mil shares and sells now and then whenever buying picks up. That is enough to make an investor just turn their back regardless of any merits the company may have.

I would really like to hear these guys make an announcement of support for the Linux operating system as well. Would be pretty easy way to open themselves to another world. However, they seem to be in pretty good with MSFT, so you don't want to get them upset.

Here is my favorite line from press releases: Boundless products are marketed under original equipment manufacturers' labels worldwide, including IBM, AT&T, NCR, Lucent Technologies, Digital Equipment Corp. (now Compaq), Tandem and Olivetti.

Impressive names on website as well: boundless.com

PS> I see this as more of a momentum or swing play. . .based on news, discovery of the company and anticipation of the 10k report. Lots of risk with less than 2 million in the float.

Boundless Technologies Introduces Viewpoint(R) Administrator 2.0 Software

Provides Maintenance and Upgrades From A Central Location For Viewpoint(R) TC and Capio(TM)

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Boundless Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Boundless Corporation (Nasdaq: BDLS - news) and the largest U.S. manufacturer of text and Windows-based terminals and other thin-client solutions, has introduced a unique system management software utility specially designed to reduce administrative costs and allow network administrators to serve more users effectively.

''Viewpoint Administrator 2.0 is a completely new feature-rich management tool that provides control over how each thin-client device is configured and used, including the ability to install and upgrade the client operating system,'' said Kenneth East, chief operating officer, Boundless Technologies.

Viewpoint® Administrator 2.0 software has expanded capabilities to manage the Boundless Viewpoint®TC and Capio(TM) product families of Windows-based terminals. It has a list price starting at $129. Administrators can manage, configure and upgrade Boundless Windows-based terminals from a local or a remote location without end-user intervention. These capabilities significantly reduce administration costs by reducing the required number of service calls to perform a variety of local support functions.

''This new management software enables IT professionals to centrally manage Boundless thin-client devices on a network,'' said Barry Davis, director of alliance marketing, Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS - news). ''The Viewpoint Administrator complements the centralized management benefits of Citrix MetaFrame and WinFrame server-based software.''

''Microsoft is excited about these new software enhancements to the Terminal Server platform,'' said Solveig Whittle, lead product manager, Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition, Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT - news). ''Whether it is management software, product development, pricing considerations or service, Boundless' efforts to meet customer needs in this environment contribute significantly to the expansion of the market for thin-clients.''

Numerous Administrative Functions

Viewpoint Administrator 2.0 software can be installed on the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 operating system, Terminal Server Edition or on Citrix®MetaFrame(TM) and WinFrame® 1.7/1.8. Specific functions include:

-- Ability to install new software or upgrade existing software on one or
more Boundless thin-clients, including the thin-client operating
system, device drivers for supported peripherals, BIOS, network
communication utilities and client applications.
-- Ability to change local application configurations.
-- Capture and display specific information for the current software
release on the thin-client, including operating system version and
release date. Multiple releases can be registered and the
administrator can view information about each release.

Easing Administration Workload

Through a Windows-based graphical user interface, system administration is intuitive and easily controlled. Many of the Viewpoint Administrator software features significantly ease the workload of the administrator. These include:

-- Specifying any number of user accounts for automatic updating. When a
specific Boundless Viewpoint TC or Capio thin-client connects to the
server, it is automatically updated with the latest software release.
A status menu allows the administrator to view all thin-clients that
are managed by the Viewpoint Administrator software, indicating name,
network hardware address, IP address, current release and if an
install or upgrade is scheduled.
-- The Event Log is a diagnostic tool that will list any exceptions
logged to the database, enabling the administrator to troubleshoot
problems that may arise. Administrators even can use one
thin-client's configuration as a master template and have other
thin-clients duplicate its settings.
-- Many of the features built into the Viewpoint Administrator are based
upon the industry standard Desktop Management Interface (DMI) to
achieve a high level of interaction with many utilities on the market.
-- To ensure security, access to the Viewpoint Administrator software
will not be permitted without proper username and password before
logging into the system and having access to, and control over, all
Viewpoint Administrator software features.

Viewpoint Administrator Specifications

-- Supported Servers: Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server
Edition, with Citrix® MetaFrame(TM) and Citrix® WinFrame®.

-- Server Requirements: 100 MHz Pentium or higher CPU, 64 MB RAM minimum,
10 MB hard drive plus 10 MB per registered user/release, VGA monitor.

-- Media Format: CD-ROM
-- Network Interface: TCP/IP
