I agree that it is interesting. By the way, the traditional theological view is that man is properly both soul and body, which is one of the reasons for belief in the Resurrection, since it allows us to be whole. Thus, it is necessarily the case that illness can restrict the scope of free- will and rationality, which must depend on the physical medium in order to act in this world.
