<<The metrics I like are ROIC and and CCC. And what I discovered is this: Dell comes out on top of all of the stocks I follow in those two categories.

These parameters are not accidental, nor are they ephemera -- I expect their influence to persist for some time. But what excites me most is that I see Dell extending this kind of lean organizational philosophy to new markets>>

Chuzz: You make too much sense. DELL has earned its right to have the largest position in my portfolio. I agree that ROIC is a good metric to use and DELL leads the pack of large cap. tech stocks in that area. They also IMHO have THE BEST management in the industry.

This morning Gerard Klauer Mattison issued a bullish report in the semiconductor field. They really liked INTC, LSI and MU. INTC will report on 4/13. Here are some interesting comments:

-"We continue to believe the semi. industry is in the early stages of a multi-year cyclical recovery."

-"Typically seasonally strong, the 2nd quarter should see an improvement in PC demand."

Hmmm..... My hunch is that DELL could be doing better than some of the experts expect. The hardware industry also seems to be moving into a better period. We'll have to listen to what MSD says later this week in NYC at the ANALyst conference. I feel like DELL should send you to the Piere Hotel to give the analysts and Fund Managers a tutorial on the metrics that count <ggg> !!

Best Regards,

Scott
