I don't see MSFT settling this case at all. You may be right. I see it going on at least until the findings of fact are issued which probably won't happen until late summer. A settlement could happen at that point if either side gets less than expected. The danger for Microsoft is that the trial is already affecting their business. A year ago, they could have pressured Dell to stay away from Linux. They can't do that anymore. They wouldn't dare. So they have to stand by while a major threat to future growth takes an extra step toward acceptance in the business world.
