Re: Your caution about the liquified gas. I believe there is more significance to that than is realized. There is a race developing to field technology that can convert gas to liquids. One of the most important applications is to convert "stranded gas" which is too remote from gas pipelines. This is not the usual Liquid natural gas, but a different process based on Fischer-Tropish technology. That's why they said it will be a pilot plant. It produces extremely clean burning diesel, and other refined products. Many analysts believe it will be the most important new technology since the invention of the cracker unit. Howard-Weil did an in depth study of it and the implications. You can get a copy from this site: gastoliquids.com ,if you are interested. This is one of my potential "elephant" investments. I had figured on 2-4 years for it to mature, but the BP announcement indicates that it is moving faster than I expected. Texaco, Exxon and Shell are all working on it because basically any intergrated producer that does not have it when it goes into full production will have a hard time competing with those that do. If you do look at it, I would be interested in your's, and other's, thoughts. There are two reports, one on the technology in general, and other on a company that just licensed their process to Texaco, which is initially going to use it to convert refinery bottoms to the same high quality diesel. One of the reports uses Acrobat.
