Please see my post 2080. When you steer a ship toward what you think is a patch of seaweed and suddenly you see that it's a reef, the right answer is to say "reverse all full," not "well, we made a mistake, but we're committed to this course, so full steam ahead, we'll just have to sink that reef." Do you really think that if we keep on bombing, there will be any chance that the Kosovo refugees will be resettled satisfactorily any time in their lifetimes? Are you really prepared to leave US troops in Kosovo for 40 years plus (the length of time we've had to be in Korea)? I don't want my kids paying huge taxes for all their adult lives because Bill Clinton couldn't admit he blew it. (Oops, unintended pun.)
