Re: internuts, Paul Harvey had an interesting commentary on this recently. He says today's internet investor is the oil wildcatter of a few decades ago -- willing to go for broke on what might be a gusher or a dry hole. He spoke pretty highly of both, saying these are the guys who take the risks that build new industries and create new wealth. Makes me wonder if ol' Paul doesn't have a few thousand shares of eBay tucked away.
All I can say is having done a little of both (working in oil fields and dabbling in internut stocks), investing is definitely cleaner work and less dangerous physically -- emotionally and financially may be another matter.
