taxman,

I stand by my comments. Dell's stock moved only 10% (~4 points) from the day that I suggested waiting a week to jump in until the following Tuesday a week later. Not a lot left on the table there when you consider the protection that would have been gained by not being exposed to a preannouncement. Since April 1, the stock has continued to move up. Great news.

I always said that Dell at those levels was a great buy for long term holds, but not a good buy for a short term trade. I'm glad it worked out for you, I am not proud. But I do think my advice was prudent at the time and that there were better plays to be made for a short term trade. The Calls on DCLK that I bought come to mind which are now up a measly 750%. But don't worry, a 40% gain on your DELL still isn't bad!
