Selling on the earnings report does sound like a smart way to go. There is no other stock out there (Cisco, included) that I am more certain will meet or beat its earnings target quarter after quarter. Even that month that TLAB warned of a possible miss, they still exceeded the estimate. Birck and Gugliema are masters of guiding investor and analyst expectations and managing their earnings. On the other hand, TLAB is certainly a volatile stock. It loses 15-20 points regularly for no reason (most recently, when it retraced from around 88 back to 72 on no news). Just as I am sure that TLAB will hit earnings on the 14th, I am sure that TLAB will see the 80s again in the next three months.
