<OT> Hi, Nelson. This is Kathy. Moneyflow, as Arthur mentioned, is one of the columns that I can load on a screen in PCQuote.
WE USE PCQUOTE.COM TO FIND MONEYFLOW Arthur subscribes to PCQuote.com, which is a moderately expensive Level II service that comes with a set of tables and charts that each user customizes for him/herself. (software needed to access the live service)
IS MONEYFLOW AVAILBLE GENERICALLY? I don't offhand know of a website that shows the money flow --- (haven't seen it in schwab, bridge, the street; and havent looked for it in IQC. Island.com shows the ask/bid stacks but probably only for the actual Island traders. Don't know if it shows all market maker's ask/bids.
Anyone else know of a MONEYFLOW for free?????
------ What we do with it: I love doing the customization with PCQuote. (altho I think they desparately need to gather user feedback ) A great, smart woman on the Dell Thread introduced me to this particular screen. (Thanks,LW!) Market Minder Screen shows moneyflow. I've added all the tech stocks I'm tracking as well as representations of the 'older' types of tocks (airline, chemicals, food, manufacturing) and some environmental-orientation stocks. Values: volume, moneyflow, up/down %, 52wk range, new date, and P/E. We compare relative strenght of various issues. It's incredible to notice the money going into a stock. Yesteray AOL moneyflow was a staggering 693 million. IBM was 352 million; Dell was 198 million. (Today Dell was 273 million; AOL, altho up in stock price had a negative money flow of -209 million) Combined with volume, it seems to me that this is just another piece of data regarding institutional activity. I'm wondering what was in the Lazlo Birinyi interview...
ok, so a long Off Topic ... but wondering what folks might think about moneyflow as a value. |
