murphy's book - technical analysis of the financial markets, it's a 1999 version, hardcover, 500 pages, $70. it's an absolutely essential book; i'm nowhere near finished, and am gaining knowledge in leaps and bounds. things i only vaguely knew or thought i knew are becoming significantly clearer. right now, it's taking a platform on the 'next level' of essential books. the 'basic' level is o'neill's "how to trade in stocks", lefevre's "reminiscences of a stock operator", darvas' "how i made 2 million in the market", and most of the (reprinted) summaries by richard wyckoff.
