So, today it nudged up a bit while all my other "great performers" fell to pit's bottom.

I don't think MCRL direction has anything to do with these exotic averages and their cross-over points. After all, the market doesn't plot those, and the price is nothing more than a reflection of the market sentiment.

I will agree that plotting these exotic averages and other numbers that can be generated by a set of points will be useful as a way to keep us busy and out of trouble. When our mind is occupied with these activities, our fear and greed are at bay, permitting our original reason to buy/sell MCRL to perform. It is as if we have the confidence in our trade.

In other words, when we do not have the confidence in our trading decisions, plotting stuff will enable us to act like we have . Since the market can't tell the difference, our trading choices will have an opportunity to show us how well we are predicting futures.
