Paul - RE: "A KEY reason to consider Intel's new AnyPoint Home Networking hardware and software:

Multiple PCs and users can SHARE one Modem and ISP or Broadband connection to the Internet !

I will be placing my order real soon !"

You are starting to get more and more like Intel, that is, BEHIND!

I suppose you haven't heard of the Am79C978 PCnet-Home single-chip controller made by your FAVORITE company in the world - AMD!?

AMD makes the chip, but other companies, like Diamond Multimedia, make the actual product. You could have purchased Diamond's Homefree product in December, over THREE months before Intel's AnyPoint product came out.

The Intel technology is based on the same one as AMD's - Home Phoneline Networking Alliance (HomePNA). Same maximum transfer rate of 1MB per sec.

Why order the Intel product "soon" when you can go to CompUSA, Best Buy, or whatever stores like that are in your area when you can pick one up TODAY?

Also, why buy Intel when Diamond offers a LONGER warranty - 5 years vs. 3 years.
