D. That is what scares me about folks like nuke...they always want to be "on target"....a pro-active, we just gotta do something attitude. Suppose we just sat back and said "We're mad as he** but we're not gonna fix the world anymore!"?

Try this article for a little clarity.

If I had to choose between Greece and Turkey, it would be a no-brainer to choose Greece. My good friend has been in Turkey/N. Iraq for several years trying to help the Kurds that we supposedly were backing to overthrow Saddam. What a joke! We left them high and dry as we moved on to try somewhere else. When push came to shove and saddam came back to N. Iraq to do a little ethnic cleansing of his own, the CIA snuck out in the middle of the night. Seems they had advance warning of Saddam's move but didn't tell the Americans doing real mercy work. My friend woke up in the morning to see S's men coming up the street wasting Kurds. They spent the next week hiding out in the hills working their way back to Turkey. When they got there, the Turks wouldn't let the Kurd leaders pass through to get asylum and even though Clinton was given a personal plee, he sided with the Turks and the Kurds were sent bck into Iraq. Gee, I woder why they don't "rise up" and overthrow Saddam? They have our "rock solid" support!
