News Corp jumps four pct to fresh record SYDNEY, April 7 (Reuters) - Rupert Murdoch's News Corp Ltd jumped as high as four percent on Wednesday, the day after it unveiled a deal that would strengthen its position in U.S. cable television and make Liberty Media Group a major News shareholder. The market heavyweight climbed an early 50 cents to an all-time intraday peak of A$13.58. At 10:45 a.m. (0045 GMT), it settled back slightly to A$13.52, up 44 cents or 3.4 percent, as 3.4 million shares changed hands, making it the bourse's most active blue chip so far.
