<<But what is the diplomatic solution? Do you know of one that will be considered
reasonably acceptable to those involved?>>

I'm not a professional diplomat, however I would be thinking in line of the extended autonomy. (not the 3 years autonomy, and then referendum on separation from Serbia - bullshit they where offered at Ramboulet. No sane leader of any country will ever allow that).
Serbs should get what they want too. For ex. KLA is an illegal terrorist organisation and has to be comdemned and announced illegal. KLA leaders should be imprisoned.
Extendend INTERNATIONAL peace keeping force (not NATO, as they were offered), supported by UN resolutions, international law and UN security council.

... So far so on. Of course, those are just some raw ideas that should be refined. Than agian I'm just only a concerned person, I'm not a proffessional, who is paid to do this.

Every crisis has a diplomatic solution.

Once again, its only a lack of diplomatic skills of NATO officials, and their incompetence that allowed these bombings to happen. If they coudn't do it, it doesn't mean its impossible. One just needs a determination and deisire to find this solution. Something NATO diplomats didn't have.
