The reason the continental US hasnt been invaded in over a century is because we have aggressively defended our interests overseas before our enemies back us to our front door. And are you seriously of the opinion that if we hadn't bombed Serbia they would have invaded us? I would be delighted to see our military might used against any power that represented a legitimate threat to my children and me sleeping peacefully at night in my own bed after watching a Disney movie on our Toshiba TV and Sony VCR. Somehow, I wasn't the least bit worried about Milosovic representing any danger to me or my family. I didn't lose a single second of sleep over the possibility that he was an enemy who might sneak in our front door if not stopped first. But now I would be surprised if there were NOT some Serbian-caused or inspired terrorist attach in the continental U.S. or on a U.S. airliner somewhere. Frankly, this bombing has increased, not decreased, the danger to the U.S. home front. One more set of crazies wanting to bomb our planes or buildings or what have you. This is NOT what I consider an intelligent, or even appropriate, use of our Defense Department.
