You need to have an "Adaptec card" in your computer, install that as hardware inside your computer, then take the floppy disk that comes with the "card" and install the drivers for the card (software)... then reboot. hook up the scanner (most are scusi devices), attach the scanner to the port on the back of the adaptec card, (it looks like a printer cable)... turn on the scanner, reboot your computer,take your cd rom... install your software,(typically comes with the scanner)...adds a plug in inside of Photoshop or is its own stand alone product. that should work.. smile....Mary
