Some of the run up in IDTI last Qtr, IMHO, was due to announcements of stronger PC sales -- which might lead one to think that IDT SRAM sales would be UP! From what I have read recently, the data on PC sales has not been all that great lately.

I can not explain the upward movement in price. I really do not see anything significant that IDT would have to offer INTC -- except really cheap, slow CPU's with not much profit margin. The SRAM biz is shrinking, FIFO's and special memory are doing OK (due to communication usage), Clear Logic has some promise to make money, discrete or commodity logic parts are too low budget for INTC.

I really am disappointed with IDT's announcements regarding their CPU's -- talk about TOTAL failure to produce!! As I've indicated before, IBM will soon be selling S(ystem)-O(n a)-C(hip) parts for $30. What mnfgr would buy a slower CPU from IDT at those kind of prices? The only area they might get a toe hold in is portable embedded designs where low power is king.
