No, I swore an oath to preserve and defend the republic. The answer is to assimilate all (legal) immigrants into the mainstream. Make them Americans first and their heritage nationality second. We are all immigrants a few generations removed anyway.

A more likely scenario and a more beneficial one for everyone concerned would be for them to demand a democracy like the U.S. in their original homelands and undertake the hard work to establish it and pay the price of eternal vigilance to defend and sustain it.

I have no problem with anyone coming here, wanting to share in what we have, as long as they're willing to do their part to maintain and better it. If I was born in any number of countries in Central and South America, I would have immigrated here myself. There's a reason why everyone is coming here and it ain't McDonalds and Bay Watch.
