Off-topic question for anyone.

I was putting together a pretty sweet system for a client today for use as a graphics workstation (P3-500, 768Mg RAM, 36GB IBM Ultra2, 32Mg Accelgraphics Eclipse II, Adaptec 2940U2W, Viewsonic 21"...[The system made me drool let me tell you]...) and we got into a conversation about SCSI cards.

I happen to like the Adaptec 2940U2W a lot, and it's pretty cheap if you can get it OEM. Retail box is a joke, but I was wondering if any of you can make any good recommendations other than adaptec.

A friend was looking at the Diamond Fireport 40...some people on eBay were selling 'em for about $70 US. The 2940U2W costs us $350 CD which is a bit stiff.

Let me know if you've had experience with other cards.
