Thing about the laptop is that I tried to do that before I took it over there. But every few minutes it would pop a window up telling me that there was a bad sector on the drive and it would ask me if I wanted to fix it, don't fix it or exit. Well you would have to check one of those off or it would not do anything else. I fell asleep twice trying to do it. Not only that I would do that for over 8 hours and it had only 4% of one of the drives scanned. Anyway maybe he will be able to fix it. BTW. The guy asked me where I got it. I said a friend of mine gave it to me. He said that you were a very good friend to give someone a laptop. I told him I agree:-) :-)dawgy dawg
