Craig, >>And, how do you suspect that capacity-constrained Intel will find a fab capable of generating millions and millions of appliance-sized CPUs during the next few months?<< No problem...one good old boy from the olden days of Fairchild Semiconductor, Gordon Moore, picks up the phone and calls another good old boy from Fairchild days of yore, Wilf Corrigan, and cuts a deal for so many wafers a week worth of rented foundry. This path has already been greased for PCI chipsets (LSI would build overflow from Intel's fabs, hasn't happened yet). LSI Logic would love to participate in some of this, to give their recovering business a shot in the arm. Tony
