Irene,
By "points of contention", I mean the whos and whys of the lawsuit. I called the company this morning and was told that for the time being, they were not allowed to comment on the proposed settlement. They did say that the litigation started back in 1994 and that it was mostly just a "clash of egos and personalities."(which, considering the legal expenses, raises more questions than answers)
I guess I was hopeing that a longtime shareholder could shed some light on this situation. Like... 1) Who are the participants -obviosly large shareholders- How large? 2) What's their beef? 3) Why is the settlement contingent upon an "arms length distribution agreement" with Nutrition Supply Corp.? 4) Is Nutrition Supply Corp. a major shareholder? If so, how major? 5) What does "arms length distribution agreement" mean?
As a possible investor in this company, I find all this very curious. Is management of Immudyne arrogant enough to forego profitability over a "clash of personalities"...or...are a few large shareholders trying to implement an agenda that is not in the best interests of Immudyne or the rest of shareholders? Probably none of the above, but, at first glance, I see a company with expanding sales and revenues, yet the stock price is fast approaching zero.
I have not received my financial packet from the company yet, so I'll apologize in advance for any fundamental info that could explain the current stock slide, however any information on the litigation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. DJC |
