"I've learned my trading lesson of never going long on a stock directly before earnings are announced. I've been burned doing this more times than not." Your right about holding thru earnings and before, alot of people going to learn that the hard way today and tommorow and no I'm not short folks, but most stocks sell-off after earning are released.
