Good point on the momentum factor as a basis for shorting. I generally stay away from minor perturbations and go for the long haul, a strategy based partly on the fact that I don't do any technical analysis and dislike paying excessive commission costs, plus doing the bookkeeping for tax purposes. But, as I noted earlier, I would not hesitate to short a mediocre stock (Microsoft, perhaps?), partly as insurance for a correction. Art
