Interesting facts to note:

In 1998 the NASDAQ composite gained 39%.

If we removed Microsoft the gain was only 23%.

If we removed the gains seen in 4 other bell weather stocks we would have actually realized a 7% LOSS. I believe those 4 other stocks were Intel, Cisco, Dell and Worldcom.

It has not been a good 3 to 4 years for most of the small cap stocks. As far as I'm concerned, sooner or later the various bubble stocks will burst and then (I hope) the market will diversify and expand into the small and mid caps. The internut stocks are beyond insanity. Anyone holding at these levels who gets caught in a gap down on any bad news deserves what he/she gets.
