Two things that I find interesting in this report.

1. The extra surge of sales is due primarily to PIII. IOW, companies that play primarily in the low end were not doing that well. Contrary, of course, to what the go-low-or-die crowds will have the world believe.

2. Linux references. This is getting serious. MS came up with it's own version of Linux as well. With Win 2000 delays, there was a possibility of slow downs in corporate PC purchases. Linux will hopefully take up the slack, be it from Redhat or Microsoft.
