Michael,

You didn't say how much of your IRA is invested in the Emerging Growth fund, but however much it is I still wouldn't recommend following a strategy of selling-low and buying-high by moving money from small-cap growth stocks, which have been underperforming the market averages, to large-cap growth stocks which have been leading the market higher.

Although I don't think you will be disappointed with EG's performance over the next 2-3 years, you might feel more comfortable with PBHG's Core Growth fund. Still, I feel you would be better off ignoring the recent pain that you've experienced with EG and staying the course. Christine is an excellent young manager and she runs a tight ship - a very disciplined operation.

And, if you really want my view, the top funds to own at PBHG are Select Equity and Technology & Communications.

Best regards,

William
