BGR, As far as the 90/10 goes, if I lost my 10% in one year, I would indeed stick with the money funds. It has never happened, but it certainly could some year. However, your comment that I would then have no chance to beat the market is totally warped by the current manic bull phase. Money funds less 10% would have beaten the market handily in about thirty percent of the years in history. Just because we have not had one of those years lately does not mean that they have been banished from the set of reality.
