Dave, first of all, congratulations on your vision about Q, which is apparently coming true (disclaimer: I'm invested, but not spending the profits yet!). But Q is not the company it was in October - it's prospects have been dramatically changed by the Ericsson capitulation. You and others on the Q thread may have "known" that was going to happen, but I have been 100% sure about several "story stocks" that have gone on to prove me wrong (and reduce my net worth dramatically).

>>In addition if you did buy something else in Oct and want to use that money to now buy QCOM you have to pay short term cap gains.. quite a bummer.

Not necessarily true, Dave. I put my money into aol in that timeframe, and have received a 255% return. In addition, I (and many others on this thread) am investing in a sheltered account (ira), so taxes aren't a consideration, only broker fees of 14.95/trade.

Bottom line, congratulations on your returns, but there have been many other ways to make money in this market other than investing in Q.

Frank
